I'm Ebele Nwafor-Orizu, but most people just call me Ebypotato. I work as a scientist and also consider myself a creative individual. My background as a microbiologist and my ongoing research on leukaemia provide a unique lens through which I view the world. I am passionate about finding solutions to problems in health and tech.
Creating art is how I bring the beauty, order, and chaos I see in the world to life, from the cellular level to everyday observation. Whether it is through graphic design, scrapbooking, or journaling, I am always finding new ways to express myself.
My design philosophy focuses on simplicity, minimalism, and creativity; see some of my creative work in my portfolio. Outside the lab and design work, I enjoy animations, reading, and music.
As a creative explorer, I am always diving into new art forms and design techniques. Reading and writing, especially poetry and short stories, are passions of mine, and I share my personal expressions in my blog.
In this soul-revealing poem titled 'The World In My Head', along with the accompanying piece of art, I have depicted what goes on in my mind.
I frequently lose myself in music. I have also gone through my musician phases too, and secretly that dream is still alive. I recorded my first rap song at fifteen. I used to write rap lyrics, which was my prelude to poetry. I also engaged in rap battles and sang for fun. I love gospel music because in everything we do, we have to honour God. I also love gut-wrenching sad songs. 😂 Over the years, I have collected my favourite songs and amassed a vast collection of playlists. These are my four favourites, in no particular order.
