The World In My Head
A Poem
A Poem
In primary school, one of the first essays we wrote was a composition about ourselves. Normally, I would write the basics: my name, origin, likes, and dislikes, but that was just about it.
The beautiful and yet scary thing about being human is that we are constantly changing. Our lives, the people we know, and our personalities are always evolving. Now, I try to figure out who I am exactly and whom I want to be and that inspired this poem titled ‘The World In My Head.’
Welcome to my head
Be careful not to step on littered thoughts
I apologise that it's a mess
There is just so much to do and say
But actions take a lot more
It is much easier to think
And my thoughts get the best of me
But that is what I am made of
My scary happy place
In my head is like a whirlwind
But on the outside I am calm like a sleeping babe
Like the full moon at the beginning of a new month
Like a man in the grave done with the perils of living
I am an organised person with a highly disorganised mind
