Google Sites is Google's website building tool and is a part of the Google Workspace which is a free and excellent solution to manage your business. With tools like Google Sites, Blogger, Google Business, Google Analytics and Google Maps, you can elevate your brand, boost your income and manage your business, all for practically free. Other drag and drop website builders offer higher functionality than Google sites but you'll be hooked on a monthly subscription which to be honest, is discomforting. This is where Google Sites shines.
It's free so you can save money on building a website. All you need is a Gmail account.
It is very secure and easy to collaborate with others
It integrates very well with Google's blogging site, Blogger.
It integrates well with Google drive and other Google workspace apps.
You can embed various widgets to increase functionality.
It has a clean UI and is easy to manage without the help of a professional web developer.
It's simple functionality makes it less customisable than other website builders.
It is not really equipped to handle Ecommerce.
The embedding feature can be messy at times.
